New York is a weird place.
Its people are everywhere.
Its cities are diverse.
Its parks and beaches are dotted with furry art and, of course, its furry mascot.
But when it comes to the furry fandom, New York’s most prominent furry fan base, Fursonas, is a tiny, insular community of about 20 people.
That’s why, in the early days, there was only one official furry convention in New York City.
That was in 2005, when the first furry conventions took place in New Orleans and New Jersey.
The New York furry convention, Furcon, began in late 2006, at the Hotel Montauk in downtown Manhattan.
The hotel was in the process of converting from a hotel, with a pool, to a convention center.
But the building was being converted for a new convention center, so Furcon moved its venue to the Convention Center at the Marriott Marquis in Midtown Manhattan.
That meant the convention center was not far from the convention hall.
The convention center became Furcon’s new home.
Furcon has grown to about 70 people, a number that has doubled in the past five years, to about 200.
“The convention hall and the hotel was always meant to be different,” said Brian Whelan, FurCon’s founder and president.
“We’re going to make it work.
We’re going do things the right way.”
In fact, the convention has become so popular, Fur Con was named the New York Fur Con in 2012.
Its new location in MidTown Manhattan is just steps from the headquarters of the city’s most famous charity, the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, or NORML.
The fur-con scene is one of the most visible in New England.
In Massachusetts, the state where Fur Con is based, FurCON is also known as the Fur Expo.
There are several Furcon events in the state, including the annual Fur Con event, and the Fur Con of New York event.
In Boston, Fur CON is known as Furcon Boston.
Fur Con has even inspired a documentary.
The documentary, Fur Confidential, is set to air in 2018.
“When we were talking about doing a documentary about Furcon,” said Matt Coker, a Fur Con member and the director of the documentary, “we had a few ideas about what we were going to do.
One of them was to put the FurCon in Boston.”
The documentary will explore Fur Con, and show attendees how it has evolved over the years.
Coker and his team filmed Fur Con’s history from its humble beginnings in 2005 to its current incarnation, which will premiere at Furcon.
“What I was trying to do was capture what we had accomplished over the past 25 years,” Coker said.
“I wanted to show what this is like today.”
The first Fur Con There’s no shortage of Fur Con events in New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
FurCon is the largest fur convention in the United States, with about 4,000 attendees, according to FurCon.com, a website dedicated to Fur Con.
The biggest Fur Con meetups take place in several cities around the country, including Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles.
FurCON has a large convention center on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
But FurCon doesn’t hold a single event at FurCon, or any other New York convention center that doesn’t have a furry theme.
And FurCon has expanded to several different cities in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
“There’s a lot of people in New Zealand and Australia who have FurCon,” said John Whelans, the owner of FurCon New Zealand, a convention and convention center in Auckland.
“They know where it’s going to be, they know where to park, they’re happy to have the event.”
In the New England region, Fur Convention has been held in New London since 2009, and has become the largest furry convention of its kind in the country.
Fur CON in Boston has expanded its convention to include a “furry day,” where attendees can attend furry conventions and meet other furry friends.
This is a different convention center from the Furcon in New Jersey that’s located at the same location.
The two FurCon locations, Furicon and FurCon HQ, have their own events, but FurCon Brooklyn is not the only convention center with a furry themed theme.
In 2014, FurFest in New Mexico had its own FurCon themed day.
And in the fall of 2016, the FurFest Atlanta in Atlanta held its own fur convention, with the event drawing about 4 percent of attendees.
The FurFest festival, which began in Atlanta in 2007, draws more than 10,000 people each year.
But it’s not all about Fur Con and FurFest.
FurFest is also the largest annual furry convention.
There were about 6,000 furcon attendees last year, according of FurFest
