RTE’s English language arts correspondent, Nick Smith, reports that while there is an English language art and film programme, you can also make use of the film and television industries.
The programme will be broadcast on RTE2 and will have a special emphasis on visual arts, he says.
The programme is being organised by RTE Films, a division of the Irish Broadcasting Corporation (IBC).
The programme will see a range of visual arts and entertainment films and television series, including The Great Gatsby, A Single Man, The Life of Brian and The Godfather.
The RTE-produced show will be followed by a series of interviews with artists, directors and screenwriters.
It is hoped the programme will create new connections between Irish art and Irish television, said Ms Smith.
